Paul Kwan started his IT career in March 1990 as the first Unix System Administrator at Toronto Exchange. Following this, he worked at Goldman Sacks, where he developed staff to become leaders and more client-focused, he also worked at Millennium Partners from August 2003 to March 2015. He started working at the firm as a Head of technical support and managed to bag the position of Chief Information officer of Asia in 2009. He was the regional head of IT and managed a team of 22 staff serving 200+ users over 10 offices, and also took cost-saving initiatives.
Paul Kwan has been honored to be a member of the Executive Committee (EXCO) and various functional and country committees. He has also remained a member of Maybank Group’s Information Technology Council and Steering Committee.
Paul Kwan worked at Deutsche Bank, Toronto, Canada for almost 4 years as the head of the infrastructure, information technology. While working there, he managed 10+ staff covering 250 users in 4 offices (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Calgary).
Paul Kwan was responsible for all technology infrastructure services in Canada including technical support, computer operations, infrastructure management, application deployment and support, acquisition, and etc. he is commended for improving system stability. Institutionalized policies and processes. Upgraded 85% of the infrastructure.
On the education front, Paul Kwan earned B.Sc, Computer Engineering from Queen’s University in 1987, M.A.Sc Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto in 1990, Professional Engineer, Peo (Canada) in 1992, The Canadian Securities Course (including CPH) 1995.
